Announcement: Deputy Dean, International

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I advise you Associate Professor Mathew White has been appointed Deputy Dean, International, for the Faculty.

Mathew is well versed for his new role, serving joint terms as Acting Deputy Dean (Learning and Teaching) and Interim Head of the School of Education in 2021 – 2022 and is currently Deputy Head of the School of Education.

Mathew will bring a breadth of knowledge of ABLE’s offerings to the international portfolio.

Mathew said he was looking forward to his new role.

“As Deputy Dean International, I look forward to working closely with Heads of Schools, research centres and program coordinators to strengthen existing international research and teaching partnerships and establish a new strategy for the Faculty,” he said.

“ABLE has numerous opportunities to internationalise our offerings and develop diverse research, learning, and teaching collaborations.”

I wish to congratulate Mathew on his appointment, and I look forward to working with him on the Faculty’s continued international success. Mathew will begin the role on July 1, 2023.

I also wish to especially thank Dr Igusti Darmawan, who temporarily stepped into this role for the past 6 months. Darmawan will now return to his role as Associate Dean, International.

Please join me in congratulating Mathew.

Kind regards

John
