Thank you for your interest in the Thriving Kids and Parents Schools Project (TKPSP) Seminar Series.
The TKPSP aims to strengthen the home-school partnership through a collaborative effort to foster the wellbeing and resilience of Australian children, using a shared set of strategies and common language.
This is to be achieved by the offering of three free, online, interactive Triple P – Positive Parenting seminars for parents and complementary resources for teachers.
Teacher resources
Teachers from participating schools will have access to a free webinar, a summary of seminar strategies and a copy of the parent tip sheets from each seminar.
You will be able to access these resources once parents from your school sign up to seminars.

Webinar
The complementary webinar, presented by Professor Matt Sanders, provides you with the principles and strategies from each of the three seminars. This webinar can be accessed here. Ask your school contact for the password.
- The Power of Positive Parenting seminar helps parents and teachers to understand why kids behave the way they do, while also introducing practical strategies to support children’s social and emotional development.
- The Helping Your Child to Manage Anxiety seminar is designed to equip parents and teachers with the skills and strategies they need to support children manage their emotions and overcome challenges.
- The Keeping your Child Safe from Bullying seminar helps parents and teachers maintain good communication with the children in their care, develop positive relationships, and address conflict and bullying.
Summary of strategies
The summary outlines the strategies described in each of the seminars that parents can use to develop specific skills children need to thrive. Examples of what these strategies might look like how these strategies can be used in the classroom will also be outlined.
