The School of Economics at the University of Adelaide will host the 38th Australasian Economic Theory Workshop (AETW 2020) on the 13th -14th February 2020. 

The plenary talks will be given by Hulya Eraslan (Rice University) and Simon Grant (ANU). Looking forward to seeing you at University of Adelaide in February 2020.

Call for papers

Submissions of papers in all areas of economic theory are now invited. The deadline for submission is on November 24, 2019. Each person may submit and present only one paper, but may be the co-author of several submissions. Acceptance decisions will be sent by December 10, 2019. Looking forward to seeing you at University of Adelaide in February 2020.

PS: Please note the change of date of submission deadline. To expedite hotel bookings upon acceptance, the deadline is November 24, 2019.

Submission and registration

You can submit a full paper for presentation at the meeting by email to aetw2020@gmail.com. Submissions are open until November 24, 2019. Acceptance decisions will be sent by December 10, 2019.

Accepted papers are considered registered. If you are unable to attend, please email duygu.yengin@adelaide.edu.au.

There is no registration fee for the workshop but participants are expected to cover their travel and accommodation costs. Upon acceptance, you will be asked to book your travel and accommodation independently. Please book your hotels and plane tickets quickly upon acceptance. Due to Fringe festival in Adelaide starting on 15-16 February hotels may be crowded. For overseas participants, visa invitation letters will be provided for presenters of accepted papers.

Hulya Eraslan

Hülya Eraslan is the Ralph O’Connor Professor of Economics at Rice University. Her research program focuses on bargaining and voting with applications to political economy and corporate finance, both theoretically and empirically.

Simon Grant

Simon Grant is the John C. Harsanyi Chair of Economics at the Research School of Economics, ANU. His research interests include modelling boundedly rational decision makers with limited awareness in the presence of uncertainty, and applying these models to economic settings involving strategic interactions and social choice
