Poetry and/as Politics conference

Day 1: 9:30 - 4pm, Day 2: 9:30 - 3:45pm.

The Poetry and/as Politics conference, convened by Julian Murphet from the Department of English, Creative Writing, and Film, features panels both days and a stand-alone public event on the evening of June 10 with two leading anglophone poets, Keston Sutherland (UK) and Juliana Spahr (US). Free entry, but please register

Join us and our international guests Juliana Spahr and Keston Sutherland as we explore pressure points and moments of effective transfer between politics and poetry in literature from around the world. The conference comprises a mixture of creative and critical interventions. Delegates include Evelyn Araluen, Jill Jones, Michael Farrell, Patrick Flanery, Ann Vickery, Sarah-Jane Burton and several others. Keynotes are by Professors Spahr and Sutherland, and the event concludes with a public reading by both poets at the Art Gallery of South Australia
