High school students visit campus and experience Arts@Adelaide showcase
LAST week, the Faculty of Arts invited students from three different schools on campus to experience a taste of studying in the Arts.
Students from Aberfoyle Park High School, Seaton High School and St Peter’s College all took part in interactive activities and a tour of the Museum of Classical Archaeology. Students got hands-on with augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and criminology, whilst learning what it’s like to be an Arts Student at the University of Adelaide. Four current students were on hand to talk about their studies and answer any questions. One lucky student from Aberfoyle Park won a brand new iPad to use with her studies.
Student Recruitment Team Leader Kate Rees said the day was extremely successful and enjoyed by both students and their teachers.
"This year we tried a new style of event. We have seen such positive feedback from students and their teachers who enjoyed the interactive activities."
"We look forward to holding further tailored campus events for other students and schools in the future," Ms Rees added.
