Economics and Public Policy students’ success in the 3 Minute Thesis Competition

Students from the School of Economics and Public Policy have been well represented in the Faculty of ABLE (Arts, Business, Law and Economics) 3 Minute Thesis Competition!

Jack Hetherington, PhD Candidate, who presented on the topic ‘Helping Little Miss Muffet to find a better whey’, was one of 3 winners who advanced from the Faculty of ABLE final to the University-wide final.

Jack also was named the People’s Choice winner at the faculty final, which was voted on by the audience.

Of the 10 presenters competing in the Faculty Final, five were from the School of Economics and Public Policy:

  • Tadiwos Tiruneh - Facing climate: Climate-smart strategies or fail
  • Thi Xuan Dieu Phan - Sustainable home-cooked food consumption behaviours: An empirical study of urban households in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
  • Vyta Hanifah - Are women in dairy farming households empowered?
  • Jack Hetherington - Helping Little Miss Muffet to find a better 'whey'
