Order ARIA
The ACHR distributes two versions of ARIA,
ARIA+ and ARIA++.
ARIA+ is based on 5 service centre categories, with values ranging from 0–15, whereas ARIA++ is based on 6 service centre categories, with values ranging from 0–18.
ARIA+ is the most widely used index and forms the basis of Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Remoteness Areas.
ARIA+ and ARIA++ can be purchased by state/territory, or for the whole of Australia.
What you will receive:
The product comprises multiple Excel data files containing mean, minimum and maximum ARIA+ or ARIA++ scores for the following ABS statistical geographies:
- Statistical Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 (SA1, SA2, SA3 & SA4)
- Statistical Local Areas (SLA)
- Local Government Areas (LGA)
- Postal Areas (POA)
- Commonwealth Electoral Divisions (CED)
- State Electoral Divisions (SED)
An Excel data file containing the mean ARIA+ or ARIA++ score for over 12,000 populated localities (towns) in Australia is also included.
License Types
ARIA+ 2021 and ARIA++ 2021 are available for purchase under three licence types.
An Individual Licence is for use by a sole person. The contents of ARIA are to be used by one person and are restricted to one computer. With purchase of an individual license, ARIA products are not to be shared with any other person, or to be made available over any network or the internet. If the application of ARIA data generates derived benefits for your organisation, or is used as part of collaborations with others within your organisation, you will need to purchase a Site License.
An Individual Student Licence is intended for use by sole graduate students of coursework and research The contents of ARIA are to be used by one person and are restricted to one computer. With purchase of an individual student license, ARIA products are not to be shared with any other person, or to be made available over any network or the internet. If the application of ARIA data generates derived benefit for your organisation, or is used as part of collaborations with others within your organisation, you will need to purchase a Site License.
A Site Licence is for use by 1-50 persons. With the purchase of a site license, the contents of ARIA may be used and shared within organisations of up to 50 users*.
*Organisations with more than 50 users may request a custom quote.
