National Indigenous Australians Agency Project

This project delivers the first comprehensive review of Indigenous housing data in Australia, identifying what information exists, where it is held, and where critical gaps remain. 

The research team

Associate Professor Megan Moskos

Megan Moskos is a sociologist and a recognised leader in Indigenous Australian housing research, renowned for conducting culturally sensitive, impactful research with Aboriginal people by Indigenous leaders and academic peers. She regularly collaborates with leading academic and Indigenous community-based researchers across Australia in projects that have been funded by the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Association (NATSIHA), the Department of Social Services (DSS), the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI), Aboriginal Housing NT, and the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA).

Dr Linda Isherwood

Dr Linda Isherwood is a Senior Research Fellow with the School of Social Sciences. Linda's key research interests are in the fields of housing, aged care, disability and public policy with a particular emphasis on policy and program evaluation. She specialises in undertaking research with disadvantaged groups including with Indigenous communities and people with disability. Linda is highly skilled in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and in combining these approaches in her research. Linda has also been a chief investigator on numerous Category 1 research projects predominantly within the fields of Indigenous housing and aged care.

Professor Emma Baker

Emma Baker is Professor of Housing Research at the University of Adelaide where she leads the Healthy Cities Research Group. She is currently leading the construction of a national rental housing conditions dataset and has a track record of successful collaboration with industry, government and non-government organisations. Professor Baker leads the Capturing Complexity research stream.
