New partnership to build on relationship

ABLE staff signing memorandum of understanding

A partnership between the Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics (ABLE), the Far West Aboriginal Community Leaders Group (FWACLG) and Far West Coast Community Partnership (FWCP) was formally established on the 6 of March 2023.

Professor John Williams, Executive Dean of ABLE, alongside Koonibba Community Aboriginal Corporation and Chair of the Far West Aboriginal Community Leaders Group (FWACLG) CEO, Mr Corey McLennan, and Far West Community Partnerships CEO, Ms Jessie Sleep co-signed a Memorandum of Understanding of a partnership between the three organisations.

The partnership will allow ABLE to build upon our relationship with the FWACLG/FWCP and develop a broader strategic partnership that will lead to opportunities for collaborations in research, teaching and learning.

“We are grateful that FWACLG and FWCP have given us the opportunity to work with them and have entrusted us as being signatories to this MoU. The MoU signals a partnership that has as its basis values of trust, respect, collaboration and shared vision. It reflects a shared commitment between the Far West Region and the University of Adelaide to improve access to opportunities relating to research, education and capacity building.” Associate Professor Megan Moskos, ABLE Associate Dean of Research Engagement
