Reconciliation week webinar held by Michael Colbung

Michael Colbung (School of Education) hosted a webinar during Reconciliation Week entitled, ‘In this Together: Reconciliation in Action in Schools’.

The webinar was designed to assist teachers and pre-service teachers to consider how to incorporate into teaching programs the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) graduate standard of 2.4 ( Understand and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to promote reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians). Presenters & attendees came from across all school sectors as well as the University’s School of Education. Presenters, Shona Reid, Chief Executive officer Reconciliation SA, and Margie Tilbrook and Rigby Barnes from the South Australian Aboriginal Secondary Training Academy (SAASTA ).
