Our vision is to graduate scholarly educators who can lead learning across local, national and global contexts.
Our dual degree and practical pathways to become a teacher will provide you with a teaching qualification tailored to your career pursuits. We provide two pathways to become a secondary school teacher, and offer flexible degree options to teach in your areas of interest. Our teaching degrees include practical placements from your first year of study, giving you an authentic experience of working in a classroom.
You will also have the opportunity to work with many of the School of Education’s world-class researchers, enabling you to gain expertise in your field of interest and make a real impact on the world's most challenging educational problems.

In SA, all teacher education programs require applicants to complete a TCS as the non-academic entry requirement.
