Decie Denholm Postgraduate Coursework Scholarship in History Application Form
In 2020, Decie Aileen Denholm bequeathed $1 million to the University for the purpose of establishing scholarships for postgraduate students studying history.
Mrs. Denholm was a University of Adelaide employee for 22 years and Visiting Research Fellow. She has been a long-term and generous benefactor of the University of Adelaide.
To be eligible to apply, a candidate must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
- be a student who has or will have graduated from the University of Adelaide at the time that they take up the scholarship;
- commenced or be eligible to commence a postgraduate coursework program of study in the year for which the scholarship is being awarded at the University of Adelaide in the area of history (including but not limited to ancient history, heritage and museum studies, art history, history of science).
One scholarship will be offered annually and the value shall be up to a maximum of $20,000 per annum or as determined by the Selection Committee.
Applicants who commenced an eligible program of study at the commencement of this year are able to apply for this scholarship. The Scholarship is available for the normal duration of the full-time program and for no longer than two years.
This application form should be submitted with details of the proposed study, including a budget (e.g. tuition and living costs).
