Our speakers are Tyson Yunkaporta the Author of Sand Talk: How Indigenous Thinking Can Save The World and Michael Colbung, Coordinator of Indigenous Learning at the School of Education

Tyson Yunkaporta is an academic, an arts critic, and a researcher who belongs to the Apalech Clan in far north Queensland. He carves traditional tools and weapons and also works as a senior lecturer in Indigenous Knowledges at Deakin University in Melbourne.

Michael Colbung is the Coordinator of Indigenous Learning, School of Education. Michael s a Wongatha (Wongi) / Nyoongah man with strong cultural links to the Wirangu and Kookatha nations after living in Ceduna for 30 years. He is a lecturer and Interdisciplinary Researcher with the School of Education, in the Faculty of Arts. Michael has worked on a number of research projects undertaking a variety of roles in those projects.
