Probiotic Agriculture: Using Life to Manage Life in the Food System

Jamie

On 27 April 2021, we were joined by Prof Jamie Lorimer (University of Oxford) who discussed the implications of the probiotic turn for food and agriculture.

Jamie spoke to the group about the probiotic turn which has emerged in recent years as a response to the antibiotic approach of the Anthropocene. During his presentation, Jamie discussed the impact of probiotic alternatives on food consumption and the environment, focusing in particular on the concepts of regenerative agriculture and rewilding.
