Corporate Cultivation of Consumption: Time to Release the Weapons of the Structurally Weak

On 14 September 2021, we were joined by Prof Sharon Friel who spoke about the commercial drivers of consumptogenic societies.

Sharon spoke about the corporatization of the global food industry, including the health and environmental implications of corporate control. Sharon also outlined several strategies which are needed to counter this corporate control in order to achieve more healthy and sustainable outcomes within the global food system.
