Songs from the Great Southland

Originally developed as a piano trio concert for the Australian Piano Pedagogy Conference, 'Songs from the Great South Land' is Mark Simeon Ferguson’s tribute to the great pop and rock songs of Australia.

For one night only the concept explodes adding the might of jazz staff Lyndon Gray and Dustan Cox and the thrilling voices of the Adelaide Connection to the piano trio. Works by Nick Cave, Silverchair, John Farnham, Icehouse and Kylie will be reimagined through jazz eyes in an exploration of the sounds of Australia.

Performers:

Ciara Ferguson - vibraphone
