Elder Music Lab

Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, National University of Singapore and the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide present a unique, live, online and cross-cultural collaboration featuring leading Australian didgeridoo performer William Barton, and supported by an eclectic mix of performers from both Conservatories, including erhu, tabla and saxophone in addition to the typical orchestral instruments. This innovative new work has been co-composed by composition students Connor Fogarty, Heng Li, Teresa di Fava and Likie Low and will be performed simultaneously in two geographic locations over 5000km apart. The work represents a meaningful cultural exchange between our two countries and aims to reflect our respective cultures. Despite our differences in geographical size, Singapore and Australia have many points in common, including our relatively close physical proximity and our positioning in the burgeoning economies of Asia. This performance is supported by the Australia Singapore Arts Group.

Bookings not required. Please arrive for 9pm concert start.
