This exciting choral collaboration between Hannover and Adelaide has been building since 2019 when Adelaide Chamber Singers and the Junges Vokalensemble, Hannover made a commitment to work together on each other’s respective international tours.

Adelaide Chamber Singers’ planned European tour in 2020 included performances in Hannover with the Junges Vokalensemble, Hannover (JVH).  Carl Crossin was the Artistic Director & Conductor of Adelaide Chamber Singers (ACS) at that time and, through Carl’s visit to the German Choral Federation’s Annual Conference in October 2019, a strong bond was forged between the two choirs, and between their respective conductors.

The arrival of COVID in 2020 saw to the cancellation of that particular tour but, since that time, Klaus, Christie (as the new Artistic Director & Conductor of ACS) and Carl have been working together to ensure that the potentially strong musical links between these two UNESCO Cities of Music are fostered for the longer term.

At last, the Junges Vokalensemble, Hannover is visiting Australia and we warmly welcome them to Adelaide for this special collaborative concert on Tuesday July 25th.

Hearing these three superb choirs, both individually and together, will be a real treat for lovers of choral music in Adelaide in the wonderfully clear acoustic of the newly refurbished Elder Hall.
