It's our pleasure and privilege to welcome Adam Gorb, distinguished visiting composer all the way from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. This concert represents the culmination of his artistic residency at the Elder Conservatorium, with Professor Gorb conducting performances of his own works Bells Across the Atlantic and Tranquility.

In Mower’s innovative concerto, the flute shines over a large group of wind instruments, with references to Big Band writing, Latin harmonies and more. Australian techno-whizz Paul Mac combined with Hindson in a response to new “draconian” lock-out laws in Sydney.
