Elder Conservatorium of Music Postgraduate Research Day

The Elder Conservatorium's Postgraduate Research Day is an opportunity for all current candidates and supervisors to get together and discuss their research and topics of mutual interest. It's also an opportunity for students who are thinking about applying for a postgraduate research degree (HDR) to find out what it's all about. This fully catered event is open to all candidates, supervisors, as well as prospective candidates.

Schedule:

10.30–11.00am: Morning coffee and registration

11.00am–12.00pm: Session #1 – Introducing your research
Everyone gets to talk about their research topic... but you have to be fast!

12.10–1.00pm: Session #2 – Presentations by candidates

1.00–2.00pm: Lunch

2.00–2.30pm: Session #3 – What the Library can do for you
With Ryan Grosser, Liaison Librarian at the Barr Smith Library.

2.30–3.00pm: Session #4 – Methodologies, theoretical frameworks and other vexed questions
With Paul Watt, Adjunct Associate Professor in the Elder Conservatorium of Music at the University of Adelaide.

3.10–4.00pm: Session #5 – Staff research forum
With Dr Emma Gregan, Dr Daniel Pitman, and Professor Anna Goldsworthy
