Open Music Academy undertaking regional tours in SA
Music for Everyone – Loxton Tour 2019
The Elder Conservatorium’s Open Music Academy is a new initiative committed to supporting and developing high quality music education across the state. Regional students will be offered opportunities to access teaching, instrumental and ensemble resources with stimulating music experiences tailored to suit beginner to advanced students. The Open Music Academy will provide – free of charge - workshops, masterclasses and professional development opportunities to regional students and staff.
Local Stars Scholarship Program
The Open Academy will also launch its ‘Local Stars’ program for gifted regional students providing opportunities to receive individual tuition with the Elder Conservatorium staff as well as take part in a range of group workshops and performance activities.
Applications are now open for the Open Music Academy’s Local Stars Scholarship Program for talented South Australian regional instrumental and vocal students. The Local Stars Scholarship Program supports regional music students in their studies, providing each student with financial support to travel to Adelaide four times per year and to take part in a tailored program linked to the rich musical activity of the Elder Conservatorium. This new, exciting scholarship program will bring together the most talented, promising young musicians from across regional South Australia to make a new musical community. Students will receive individual tuition with the Elder Conservatorium staff, as well as take part in a range of group workshops and performance activities.
