Elder Conservatorium opens its doors for 'A Day at the Con'
On August 19, the Elder Conservatorium of Music opens up its doors to the community with ‘A Day at the Con.’ As the home of music education in South Australia, we invite students to join us for the day, making music with our brilliant staff and ensembles.
Students are invited to free workshops, masterclasses, and ensemble activities, across the disciplines of classical music, jazz, creative practice, and music theatre. Performances and demonstrations will include Elder Conservatorium staff and the revered Australian String Quartet. Feedback will be offered to support SACE and AMEB study in an exciting immersive experience for all attendees. Music Theatre lovers are invited to be a fly on the wall in our rehearsal room, where students of the Bachelor of Music Theatre are preparing for our up-coming production of Shrek: The Musical.
This event is a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with our current staff and students, and allowing participants the chance to ask faculty and current students about what life is like at the Elder Con. Come and join our community!
