Food Gardening in the Pandemic: Reflections on Pleasure, Time and Hope

On 22 July 2021, we were joined by Dr Kelly Donati who discussed the results of a food gardening survey conducted by Sustain: the Australian Food Network in 2020.

Kelly

Kelly provided an outline of the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted gardening practices in Australia. She also provided an in-depth analysis of the survey results in relation to a variety of aspects such as mental health, self-care, food security, biodiversity and eco-anxiety. Kelly also touched on the importance of gardening for Indigenous Australians.
