For our very first Regional tour, the Elder Conservatorium of Music's Open Music Academy was resident in Loxton, in the heart of the beautiful Riverlands region. The staff for this tour were Lucinda Collins (Head of Keyboard, Elder Conservatorium of Music), George Torbay (Head of Music Theatre, Elder Conservatorium of Music), Dr Emily Dollman (Associate Director Music Education and Artistic Director, Open Music Academy) and Julian Ferraretto (Jazz musician and Creative Music Workshop Leader).

The Music of Harold Arlen

You may not remember his name but you definitely know his songs! Harold Arlen wrote some of the greatest works in the American Song Book including Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Stormy Weather and I’ve Got the World on a String. James Muller and the Honours Jazz Ensemble bring some of Arlen’s most beautiful works to life.

Britten’s Four Sea Interludes may plunge you into the cold, forbidding waters of the North Sea… but Bartók’s joyful final Piano Concerto is sure to fish you out and dry you off!
