Adelaide Bass Day 2024
The Elder Conservatorium and the University of Adelaide are presenting a Double Bass Day on Sunday 28 April, bringing together performers, teachers, students, luthiers and exhibitors from all over Australia. Hosted in Elder Hall, the day will feature recitals, masterclasses, jazz clinics, lecture demonstrations, ensemble playing and concerts suited for all ages and levels.
Featuring performers and educators including Phoebe Russel, David Schilling, Lyndon Grey, Andrew Tait, Stuart Riley, Jonathan Coco, Stevie Newton, Rob Nairn, Aurora Henrich, Peter McLachlan, Rebecca Scully, and Georgia Gamble.
Music for the mass-bass works, which will be rehearsed during the day and performed in the final concert, will be sent out as PDFs after online registration. The music is kindly supplied by Recital Music in the UK and there will be parts for all levels of bass players.
