Charles Bodman Rae Signs Publication Contract with United Music Publishers

Elder Professor of Music, Charles Bodman Rae, has just signed a major publication contract with United Music Publishers (UMP) in the UK. This will result in the commercial publication of the scores of all his works currently represented for sale and hire through the Australian Music Centre in Sydney. They will also be publishing all his new works as they emerge. In the last few years UMP have shown themselves to be enterprising and forward thinking in their approach to presenting living composers, and this is one of the main reasons why Charles has agreed to sign with them.

Charles has also recently had his chapter 'Messiaen in Australia: The Composer as Lyrebird' published in the book Messiaen in Context, edited by Robert Sholl (Royal Academy of Music and University of West London) and published by Cambridge University Press. It is now available online via Cambridge Core.
