Floods of Fire
On Saturday 16 March, the university transformed into a festival site for Floods of Fire, a vibrant community-led celebration closing the 2024 Adelaide Festival. Curated by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Floods of Fire invited local artists to share stories about climate change through music, dance, theatre, poetry, and visual art. Collaborations between students and staff from the Elder Conservatorium and scientists from the Environment Institute culminated in seven performance items on the day, showcasing the breadth of artistic excellence and creativity in our Conservatorium community. Thanks especially to artists representing CASM, the Open Music Academy, and the Classical, Jazz, HDR, Popular Music, and Sonic Arts departments for their exceptional contributions.
