Peter Johns Joins Music Theatre Faculty

We are delighted to welcome Peter Johns to our Music Theatre faculty!

Peter Johns joined the teaching staff at Elder Conservatorium Music Theatre in 2020 as a repertoire coach, music director, accompanist, production manager, and stage manager. He is the founder and executive producer of Irregular Productions, which has staged a number of South Australian theatrical premieres, as well as creating Broadway Sessions, a monthly music theatre performance and open-mic night which is going into its ninth year. Peter has contributed to more than 80 productions over the last twenty-five years. EMCT Show credits as a resident music director include Cabaret, Urinetown, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and the first-year showcases. Earlier this year, he was appointed the music director of the Adelaide branch of the Australian Music Theatre Choir. Peter is also a touring stage manager with That Science Gang and is the music director of Australia's second-largest candlelight Christmas event, Civic Park Carols.
