Second Adelaide Cello Weekend for 2024 Announced

In our second Adelaide Cello Weekend for 2024, cellists from all over the country will meet at the Conservatorium from Thursday 11–Sunday 14 July for lessons, masterclasses, cello ensemble and concerts. Tertiary and secondary school students are welcome to apply to this amazing event, culminating in two concerts in Elder Hall on Sunday 14 July, with cellists Josephine Vains, Thomas Marlin, and Janis Laurs joining cello lecturer Edith Salzmann. The lunchtime recital will feature our cello faculty performing works by Popper, Bartók and Cassado. The Adelaide Cellists and the Cello Festival Ensemble will perform in the evening recital at 6pm, with works by Dvořák, Mahler, Piazzolla, Beethoven, Rossini and more on the program.
