DEM MOB Release New Music Video, Appear in The Advertiser and Perform at BIGSOUND 2024

It's been a big fortnight for Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music (CASM) alumni DEM MOB (Elisha Umuhuri, Jontae Lawrie, Matt Gully and Basso Edwards)! On Thursday 29 August they released 'I'll Get By', a powerful track serving as a beacon of hope and empowerment for those grappling with mental health challenges. Written around the personal stories of members Elisha, Jontae, Basso, and Matt as they relocated to Adelaide from the APY Lands in northern South Australia amidst an increased following and industry recognition, 'I'll Get By' is a testament to the transformative power of self-help and resilience.

On Monday 2 September they were featured in an article published by The Advertiser celebrating 11 emerging Indigenous leaders who are paving the way for their communities and doing inspirational work to effect change for their people and the state of South Australia.

DEM MOB performed at BIGSOUND 2024 in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 September.
