Lloyd Van't Hoff in Townsville and California

'Earlier in July I spent a most enriching two weeks at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music. Aside from the multitude of festival performances, I also had the joy of directing the AFCM's Pathways Program – the festival's training program for young chamber musicians. It was most rewarding to work so closely with three young chamber ensembles, an experience that was marked by incredible creativity, curiosity and camaraderie.

In August I travelled to California where I was a faculty member at the Del Mar International Composers Symposium. I gave the world premiere of a new work by Martin Bresnick and worked closely with several emerging American composers.'
