Angela Hewitt Masterclass
It was a very special privilege to have legendary pianist Angela Hewitt with us last week. Our piano students Maria Tynan, Jenny Su and Daniel Brideoake played Handel, Schumann and Liszt for Angela in a masterclass on Tuesday 8 October, before the lucky audience was treated to a performance of Bach's first Partita. The following evening, on Wednesday 9 October, Angela gave a beautiful recital in Elder Hall – a program linking the compositional magic and genius of Bach, Mozart, Handel and Brahms through the themes of variation, chaconne, and fantasia.
