Henry Say Wins Recitals Australia Lunch Hour Autumn Series Final

Henry Say (cello) performing at the Recitals Australia Lunch Hour Autumn Series Final 2025

On Saturday 21 June in the North Adelaide Baptist Church Hall, Recitals Australia hosted the 2025 Autumn Lunch Hour Series Final, which featured no less than five of our current students and alumni. Chiara Kelle (cello), Jack Daws (guitar), Henry Say (cello), Adam Draper (trombone) and Wendy Yu (cello) performed music by Brahms, Schumann, Leo Brouwer, J.S. Bach, Ross Edwards, Jean-Michel Defaye, Paul Stanhope, and more.

While the judges (Wendy Heiligenberg, Rodney Smith OAM, and Dean Newcomb, with Jury Chair Julie Quimby) convened to decide the winner, current HDR student (and former LHS) Esmond Choir entertained the audience with a set of rags by Scott Joplin.

A big congratulations to the winner, Henry Say (cello), and a special thanks to collaborative pianist Dr Simón Pazos Quintana, and the team at Recitals Australia for providing these wonderful opportunities for our students.
