ECM Flute Students and Alumni Receive Prizes in the David Cubbin Memorial Competition (Flute Society of South Australia)

Recent Elder Conservatorium graduate Ronny Xiao has been awarded Second Prize at the David Cubbin Memorial Competition, hosted by the Flute Society of South Australia. Current students Lucy Ryan and Annaliese Jeffery also received an Honourable Mention for their excellent performances.

Named in honour of Professor David Cubbin, the competition commemorates his outstanding contribution to music, having served as Principal Flute of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Lecturer at the Elder Conservatorium, and as a founding member of the University of Adelaide Wind Quintet. Congratulations to Ronny, Lucy, and Annaliese on their achievements.
