A series of solo-piano miniatures with a rich sound world inspired by classic paintings, ranging from Vincent van Gogh’s 1889 The Starry Night to Simon Dinnerstein’s 1991 Purple Haze. A free concert performed by Elder Conservatorium Masters student Esmond Choi.

The Adelaide Jazz Festival is a weekend-long program of live performances leading up to UNESCO's International Jazz Day on Tuesday 30 April. Presenting a broad range of jazz genres across central venues at affordable prices, its aim is to surprise, inspire and delight audiences by discovering new musical experiences.

Elder After Hours - Matthew Sheens Solo

Adelaide Bass Day 2024

The Elder Conservatorium and the University of Adelaide are presenting a Double Bass Day on Sunday 28 April, bringing together performers, teachers, students, luthiers and exhibitors from all over Australia. Hosted in Elder Hall, the day will feature recitals, masterclasses, jazz clinics, lecture demonstrations, ensemble playing and concerts suited for all ages and levels.
