ECMT's Production of 'Little Women' Described as 'Gobsmacking' and 'An Absolutely Charming, Magical Show'

Little Women (ECMT Productions)

A huge congratulations to the third-year Bachelor of Music Theatre students who showcased their talents onstage at the Scott Theatre last week (Thursday 18–Sunday 21 April) in the Broadway musical Little Women. Hailed as a 'superb graduating class production to rival any professional show touring the country' (lialoves.com.au), and 'creative and effervescent' (Stage Whispers), Little Women played four shows, featuring two casts of performers in principal roles. Special thanks to Erin James (Director)Dr. Martin Cheney (Music Director)Joseph Simons (Movement Director)Simon Greer (Set Designer), and Chris Snape (Lighting Designer) for all your dedication and hard work over the past few weeks bringing this stunning production to life.

'There are not enough superlatives in the English Dictionary to describe this amazing production [...]. This year's ECMT graduating students under the professional leadership of Director Erin James, Musical Director Martin Cheney and Movement Director Joseph Simons, have presented an absolutely charming, magical show. [...] the entire 19 cast (they alternate roles every other performance) are gob-smackingly fantastic in whatever they do in this show – even scene changing! [...] If these graduates are any indication of our future musical theatre talent then the country will be in excellent hands. Don't worry if you are not a friend or relative, go and see young upcoming stars excellently entertaining you so that you can say "I was there when they were starting out".'
