Adelaide Horn Days

On Sunday 9–Monday 10 June, the Elder Conservatorium of Music and Adelaide Horn Jam co-hosted Adelaide Horn Days 2024, a two-day festival celebrating all things horn. Over 50 horn players gathered for classes and ensembles with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra horn section and Elder Conservatorium horn faculty alongside international guest artist Anneke Scott, one of the world's leading historical horn specialists. The highlight was a spectacular concert given by the Elder Conservatorium Baroque Ensemble under the direction of Rob Nairn, featuring guest violinist Ben Dollman and three horn soloists: Anneke Scott, Sarah Barrett (Associate Principal Horn, ASO) and Liam McBride (third-year Elder Conservatorium student).
