SA Music Award Nominations 2024

Congratulations to all our current students and graduates for their recent nominations in the SA Music Awards 2024!

Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music (CASM) alumni DEM MOB have received nominations in four categories, including Best Regional Artist, Best Group, Best Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islander Artist, and Best Music Video (with Natasha Wanganeen and Maxx Corkindale).

Current Elder Conservatorium jazz student Daisy Davidson has received two nominations for her bands The Sundials (Blues and Roots Award) and Broken Waves (Pop Award).

Our students and alumni have dominated the Jazz Award (sponsored by Helpmann Academy). Nominations include PhD candidate Adam Page (also nominated in the Best Solo Artist category for his album Status and Flux: Evolution I, recorded as part of his PhD research project); Sauce Code (Harrison Smith, Emile Ryjoch, Andrew Casey, Lenny Regione and Miles Farnan – all of whom met and studied together through our jazz course); 5 Sided Cube (Andrew Casey, Emile Ryjoch, Tyler Venter, Jayden Dawson, and Josh Baldwin); and BMus Hons graduate Alexander Flood.

BMus (Education and Pedagogy) and Master of Teaching Graduate Hayley Wedding (also nominated for the 2024 ARIA Music Teacher Award) has been nominated for Best Music Educator.

People's Choice voting closes on Sunday 20 October at 11.59pm.

VOTE FOR PEOPLE'S CHOICE

The winners will be announced at the Dom Polski Centre on Thursday 7 November.
