Hamish Netting Launches Netting Violins
Congratulations to Elder Conservatorium Honours graduate and 2024 Helpmann Academy Creative Innovator Program finalist Hamish Netting, who officially launched his new business Netting Violins on Monday 2 December.
'As a professional cellist, I have always been fascinated by the craftsmanship of musical instruments, and I started Netting Violins after further developing my passion for the repair and restoration of string instruments and bows. I have received mentorship from master luthiers Tim Whelan (Adelaide), Lauri Tanner (London/Helsinki), and David Glanville (Sydney), and am excited to bring my craft to the thriving music community of Adelaide. Netting Violins is now officially open for business, with a particular focus on bow rehairing, so please visit our website and get in touch to book an appointment. Myself or my wife Paris will get back to you as soon as we can, and we look forward to providing high quality service to all our new and returning customers!'
