Ensemble Musikfabrik Visit

We had a whirlwind start in Orientation Week with guests from the internationally acclaimed contemporary music group Ensemble Musikfabrik, who gave a sold-out performance on Friday 28 February to an enthusiastic audience as well as a series of classes and workshops with our classical students. The visit featured Peter Veale (oboe), Christine Chapman (horn) and Florentin Ginot (double bass) alongside local musicians David Moran (cello), Justin Julian (viola) and Georgina Bowden (composer).

Congratulations especially to our students, Javier Goh (violin), Hope Sawers (flute), Alisha Roberts (tenor saxophone), Noah Miller (marimba), and Charlie Makaev (bass trombone), who played brilliantly alongside our guest artists in a side-by-side performance of Richard Barrett's Codex IV.
