Student Achievements in the Adelaide Eisteddfod
Third-year viola student Tim Train has won the Under 25 string solo section at the Adelaide Eisteddfod performing with Simón Pazos Quintana on piano. This coming June, Tim will be performing with the Australian Youth Orchestra, as will honours viola student Bridget McCullough.
The recently formed OMA String Quartet coached by Stephen King and Helen Ayres also won first prize at the Eisteddfod in the Chamber Music section. Congratulations to violinists Aiya Ishino and Alenna Kennedy, violist Annika Ganesh, and cellist Sherry Cheng.
