Ten bassists came together from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide for a three-day intensive (Monday 20–Friday 22 November), aptly named 'Bass Boot Camp'.
Ben Nicholls and Isabelle Watson Awarded Prizes at the Musicological Society of Australia (SA Chapter) Research Day 2024
Current History PhD candidate and BMus alumnus Ben Nicholls received the 2024 Naomi Cumming Prize (for a postgraduate student at any SA institution), and current PhD candidate Isabelle Watson received the 2024 Elder Conservatorium Prize for Excellence in Postgraduate Research (for a postgraduate student at the Elder Conservatorium) at the SA Chapter of the Musicological Society of Australia's Research Day 2024.

Dr Oliver Fartach-Naini Awarded 2025 UNESCO Adelaide City of Music International Collaboration Award
On Thursday 7 November, Dr Oliver Fartach-Naini (Associate Director of Postgraduate Coursework Programs and Senior Lecturer in Guitar and Pedagogy) was announced as the winner of the 2025 UNESCO Adelaide City of Music International Collaboration Award.

'Daylight Express' Series to Return to Elder Hall in 2025 Adelaide Festival
The Adelaide Festival's 'Daylight Express' series will return to Elder Hall in 2025 (Friday 28 February–Friday 14 March), including performances from Elder Conservatorium Faculty Lloyd Van't Hoff (clarinet), Emma Gregan (horn), Lucinda Collins (piano), Anna Goldsworthy (piano), Elizabeth Layton (violin), Stephen King (viola), Edith Salzmann (cello) and Michael Ierace (piano).

Teddy Tahu Rhodes to Star in Kaija Saariaho's 'Innocence' (Adelaide Festival)
On Monday 3 November, the Adelaide Festival announced their full program for 2025, which includes Kaija Saariaho's opera Innocence (starring Teddy Tahu Rhodes) and the welcome return of the Daylight Express series (Friday 28 February–Friday 14 March) in Elder Hall.

Helpmann Academy Jazz Awards and Elise Ross Regional Award Presented at A Night of Jazz with Jazzmeia Horn
