Saxophone Mega Day 2025

Our Saxophone Mega Day on Saturday 17 May was a truly special gathering of our Adelaide saxophone community at the Elder Conservatorium. From the moment the first warm-up note sounded with Sarah Byron, there was an unmistakable buzz in the air – a shared excitement among students, teachers, and saxophone lovers alike.

Highlights included: fascinating insights from Simon Clarke's saxophone history session, a standout masterclass with the Nexas Quartet that left us all inspired, Nathan Henshaw's crossover jazz/classical session which gave many of us new ideas to take home to the practice room, and the final concert, featuring the soaring sound of the Nexas Quartet and our Mega Day Saxophone Choir, which brought the day to a joyful close. Huge thanks to everyone who made it happen – our guest artists, sponsors, and of course, every participant who brought such energy and enthusiasm.
