Music and Mountains Festival, Queenstown, New Zealand
Director Anna Goldsworthy curated the Music and Mountains Festival in Queensland, New Zealand (April 9–14), performing alongside distinguished musicians from around Australia, including Elder Conservatorium Adjunct Lecturer Dr Konstantin Shamray and violin teacher Dr Helen Ayres.

Oliver Fartach-Naini and Lee Song-Ou in South Korea
Oliver Fartach-Naini and guitar duo partner Lee Song-Ou teamed up in South Korea for performances in Busan on Sunday 14 April and Daegu on Tuesday 16 April. The well-receive concerts included two recent compositions that Stephen Whittington has written for an album the duo will be recording in October.

'Live and Die with the Butterflies Part 2 – on a Knife's Edge' (Floods of Fire)
Back in March, our Head of Jazz, Mark Simeon Ferguson, put together a group of third-year students to perform for the Elder Con Jazz Department's contribution to Floods of Fire in the Adelaide Festival. The project was called 'Live and Die with the Butterflies part 2 – On a Knife's Edge' and featured climatologist and PhD candidate Darren Wray, his amazing ball contraption, his excellent commentary on how we can all make a difference for the health of our planet and two new and one revised composition by Ferguson.
