Adelaide Cello Weekend
A huge congratulations to our new cello lecturer Edith Salzmann, who founded and coordinated our first Adelaide Cello Weekend. This wonderful new initiative offered accomplished young cellists the opportunity to participate in ensemble rehearsals and masterclasses over a three-day intensive (Friday 2–Sunday 4 February).
Joshua Belperio Wins 2024 Fulbright Scholarship
Congratulations to Joshua Belperio, who has recently been announced as a 2024 Fulbright Scholar! Joshua is a composer, musical theatre writer and cabaret artist, and a graduate of the Elder Conservatorium of Music, where they completed a Bachelor of Music Composition.

Jakub Jankowski's 'Nevermore' to Premiere in Chamber Landscapes Weekend in the Adelaide Festival
It is a great joy to see ECM alumnus Jakub Jankowski (Bachelor of Music with Honours in Composition; Graduate Diploma in Conducting) go from strength to strength as one of Australia's most commissioned young composers. In addition to being Emerging Composer in Association with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (who will perform his new orchestral work in April), Jakub has also been commissioned by the Australian Chamber Orchestra to write a work for their national tour 'Tognetti. Mendelssohn. Bach' tour (5–23 September).
Louisa Vilinne Plays Kim in Miss Saigon
Bachelor of Music Theatre graduate Louisa Vilinne recently made her professional musical debut as the alternate lead Kim in Miss Saigon at the Adelaide Festival Centre (Tuesday 2–Sunday 28 January).
Adelaide Cello Weekend
Join master musicians on 2-4 February 2024 for a weekend of ensemble rehearsals, masterclasses and a finale concert in Elder Hall. Each student will participate in cello ensemble and will receive 30 minute masterclass tuition.
