Adelaide Wind Orchestra in Gwangju, South Korea
We are immensely proud of our students, staff, alumni and friends in the Adelaide Wind Orchestra (AWO), who have recently returned home from a tremendously successful week in Gwangju, South Korea, for the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) Conference.

Euan Safey and Jessica Zuk to Conduct Adelaide Summer Orchestra
Later this month, two of our Honours conducting students will lead the Adelaide Summer Orchestra. Currently mentored by Associate Professor Luke Dollman and Nicholas Braithwaite, Euan Safey will conduct Richard Rodney Bennett's Partita for Orchestra and Jessica Zuk will conduct Louise Farrenc's Symphony No. 3 in G minor, Op. 36. Pianist Michael Ierace will also perform Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25, conducted by Nicholas Braithwaite. Please come along and support them!

Winter Warm Up (Adelaide Guitar Festival)
The Elder Conservatorium Guitar Ensemble will feature in the Adelaide Guitar Festival's Winter Warmup concert, held in Elder Hall on Friday 19 July at 7.00pm. Alongside performances by guitar virtuoso Giuseppe Zangari and Australian flute luminary Jane Rutter, the Elder Conservatorium Guitar Ensemble will be giving the world premiere of Movin' Right Along by Associate Professor Carl Crossin OAM.
AMEB July Showcase Concert 2024
Teachers, students, friends and parents are warmly invited to join the AMEB July Showcase Concert, to be held in Elder Hall on Sunday 28 July at 2.00pm. This will be an opportunity to hear some of the most outstanding pieces performed in exams in the first half of the 2024 examining year and to celebrate the hard work of these candidates (and their teachers).
LUMEN Bar (Illuminate Adelaide)
The pop-up LUMEN Bar is back on the Goodman Lawns (directly in front of Elder Hall), open from Friday 5 July–Thursday 1 August.

The Open Music Academy (OMA) celebrated the culmination of the first half of the teaching year with a series of captivating concerts held across two days (Friday 28–Saturday 29 June) at Madley Rehearsal Studio.

Australian String Quartet's 'Vanguard' Tour Receives 4.5 Star Review
The Australian String Quartet's Vanguard tour culminated on Friday 5 July with a wonderful performance in Elder Hall – their last in a national tour that included concerts in Perth, Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

Adelaide Cello Weekend (Thursday 11–Sunday 14 July)
Our second Adelaide Cello Weekend intensive for 2024 kicks off this Thursday 11 July, with cellists from all over the country meeting at the Conservatorium for lessons, masterclasses, cello ensemble and concerts!
