Vale Ronald Woodcock
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of concert violinist Ronald Woodcock, a much-loved member of the teaching staff of the Elder Conservatorium for around 25 years, from the early 1970s to the late 1990s.
Lloyd Van't Hoff with Selby & Friends
Our Head of Woodwinds, Lloyd Van't Hoff, is currently touring the country with Kathryn Selby (piano) and Natalie Chee (violin) as part of the Selby & Friends series, performing Brahms and Bartók in Adelaide (7 July), Sydney (8 July), Melbourne (10 July), Canberra (12 July), Bowral (13 July) and Turramurra (14 July).
Jazz Workshop with Sam Anning and Friends
The Jazz department were blessed with Australian jazz royalty as bassist Sam Anning brought his touring ensemble to Madley Rehearsal Studio for a wonderful workshop on the King's Birthday Holiday.
Student Achievements in the Adelaide Eisteddfod
Third-year viola student Tim Train has won the Under 25 string solo section at the Adelaide Eisteddfod, while the recently formed OMA String Quartet took out first prize in the Chamber Music Section.

Arjun Singh, a second-year cello student studying with Edith Salzmann, has been invited to participate in several of Europe's major festivals in July this year.
Dylan and Christopher Crismani's 'Barrabarra' on Display at Samstag Museum of Art
On Thursday 6 June Samstag launched its Kudlila season with Mulka Yata (The Knowledge of Place) which features a sonambient sculpture titled Barrabarra (to make a rushing noise) by Dylan and Christopher Crismani jointly commissioned by Arts SA and Samstag Museum of Art.
