Musicology Society of Australia 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 2024

We are thrilled to announce the MSA 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 2024. The competition will be held in conjunction with the MSA's 47th National Conference, to be held online this year from Thursday 28–Saturday 30 November. All postgraduate and Honours students working on any area of music research are welcome to submit 3MB entries.

Acclaimed American author and musician Barry Green will give a lecture-demonstration based on his acclaimed book The Inner Game of Music on Friday 26 July, from 9.30am–1.00pm in the Hartley Concert Room.

Anne Cawrse, Claire Edwardes and the ASO Announced as a Finalist in the 2024 APRA AMOCS Art Music Awards

We are delighted that the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra has been named a finalist in the 2024 APRA AMCOS Art Music Awards for their performance of Dare to Declare: Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra by Adelaide's own Anne Cawrse.

Second Adelaide Cello Weekend a Great Success

Our second Adelaide Cello Weekend (Thursday 11–Sunday 14 July) was another great success, with 28 cellists joining us from Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Tasmania and New Zealand! The weekend culminated with two concerts in Elder Hall on Sunday 14 July.
