Sarah Duhig (Honours conducting student) has been engaged professionally to conduct performances of the Avatar: The Last Airbender movie with live orchestra in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Songwriter Series 2025
Featuring 15 bands premiering 75 songs, the Elder Conservatorium Song Writer Series at UniBar showcases the work of Popular Music students from the Creative Practice program on Tuesdays June 17, 24 and July 1. Joined by students from 'The Sampled Source', there will be electronic music at each show from 4.00pm, with the first band taking the stage from 6.00pm. Free admission.
Adelaide Horn Days 2025
Over the June long weekend (Sunday 8–Monday 9 June), 64 horn players from five different states came together for two jam-packed days of activities and classes for horn and brass players of all ages and abilities.
'Dare to Declare' by Dr Anne Cawrse Performed by Claire Edwardes, the NSW Doctors Orchestra and Dr Joanna Drimatis
This weekend, on Sunday 1 June, the NSW Doctors Orchestra will perform the Dare to Declare Marimba Concerto by our Adjunct Lecturer in Composition, Dr Anne Cawrse, featuring soloist Claire Edwardes, conducted by Elder Conservatorium PhD graduate Dr Joanna Drimatis (2009 University Doctoral Medallist) in Verbruggen Hall at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra recently caught up with our Head of Jazz, Mark Ferguson, and presenter Susan Ferguson to chat about their brand-new show Around the World. Professor Anna Goldsworthy in the Coriole Music Festival 2025
From Saturday 17–Sunday 18 May, a stellar line up of musicians (including Professor Anna Goldsworthy, Director of the Elder Conservatorium) came together in the McLaren Vale for the 2025 Coriole Music Festival, curated by cellist Simon Cobcroft.
